The new online Professional Master’s Program in Industrial & Systems Engineering (PMP-ISE), offered by the UW Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering, provides a convenient way for working professionals to earn an advanced degree in engineering. The PMP-ISE leads to the same degree offered through the daytime program — Master of Science in Industrial Engineering (MSIE).
The only difference between the campus and online programs is that as a student in the online program, you’ll be able to take classes anytime, from anywhere. The curriculum and instructors are identical for campus and online courses, so you’ll earn the same degree and have access to the same UW faculty as students on campus.
The online program is offered using the technology of Education at a Distance for Growth and Excellence (EDGE). Through EDGE, on-campus courses are streamed on the Web and archived for later access within the quarter.
You can complete the new online PMP-ISE in a time and place that fits your professional and personal schedule, with full- and part-time options. Courses follow the standard academic calendar, and students are admitted three times a year (in Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters). For more information, see Application Deadlines.
